KiddiWrite English and Reading Comprehension
The ability to write well and express ideas clearly is a crucial criterion for success at school. We start with the basics and help children focus on grammar structure, vocabulary and sentence formation and guide them to delight in their own creative writing. In addition to this, children build vocabulary skills and ideas as they read excerpts from stories as part of the class and work on comprehension exercises.
- Foundation: focuses on equipping children with the necessary grammatical skills and inspiring confidence in them to start writing.
- Elementary: teaches children on how to make their writing come to life through character building, story structuring and the use of various figures of speech.
- Intermediate: helps children discover story genres, from adventure to fantasy to ghost stores, gaining confidence as they experiment with their own writing.
- Upper Intermediate: This class is designed for children who are fluent readers of chapter books. They must have a good grasp of grammar and english vocabulary. Basic story elements, writing techniques, different genres of writing and comprehension are taught to expand their thinking.
- Advanced: challenges children to work with a range of writing styles, including narrative, descriptive and argumentative/persuasive writing.
